Our campus is an 85-acre, tree-shaded property in Newberg, a beautiful city located on the southern outskirts of Portland. Facilities include science, engineering and nursing labs equipped with the latest equipment and software; the 1,150-seat Bauman Auditorium; and excellent athletic facilities.

Newberg is a serene community close to a major metropolitan environment of two million people. Historic downtown Newberg consists of a variety of stores, art galleries, coffee shops, restaurants, a retro movie theater and 11 parks around the town.

Portland is a short drive from campus. The city is home to the Old Town district, the Tom McCall Waterfront Park, numerous art galleries and museums, many theatre groups and jazz clubs, a world-class symphony, ballet, and opera, and several professional and semi-professional teams.

George Fox University fosters active engagement of mind, soul, and body, encouraging students to grow deep in faith and knowledge. As a Christian university we desire God to be at the core of all we do. Not everyone who studies at the university is a follower of Christ, but many of the students, and all those who teach and work here, are. We expect students to follow a lifestyle of integrity and honesty.

Students will have opportunities to be involved in co-curricular activities, service projects, outings with roommates and friends, and a variety of campus events. Students will study and work hard, but will also have fun. The spirit of community is a vibrant and vital part of campus life at George Fox.

George Fox also serves students at a number of other locations in the Pacific Northwest, including its Portland (Ore.)Center, Salem (Ore.) Center and Boise (Idaho) Center.
